Hearts Against Hunger
Ministry Coordinator: one needed
Our Ministry
Hearts Against Hunger is a parish wide food collection held twice a year to help support local food pantries. Parishioners fill bags distributed a week prior to the collection with non-perishable food to bring to the church on the Hearts Against Hunger collection days. The food is delivered to local food pantries. The pantries depend on the support of parishes, congregations, and other community groups to help stock their shelves. Together with the food pantries, we can help local families who need long or short term assistance with groceries.
Food Collection Dates
Food is collected in February and on Thanksgiving.
Our last food drive was February 20 and 21. Thank you for your support to those in our community who are desperately in need! View more.

Volunteer Statement
"Having spent a bit of time at the PRC for a range of other activities, I can see the people who come in needing assistance. For so little time, we can make such a difference in their lives, by giving them a sense of security that they will not go hungry." Dorothy Peterson
