Our Ministry
Bucket Sunday is a yearly cleaning supply collection for those in need. The cleaning supplies are delivered for distribution to the People's Resource Center clients and Transitional Housing families who need cleaning supplies but cannot purchase them with food stamps.
Cleaning Supply Collection Date
In the spring. The last collection was on the weekend of April 20 and 21, 2013. View more.
Bags were handed out the weekend of April 13 and 14.
On April 20 or 21, parishioners brought a bucket (or bag) filled with cleaning supplies to the Narthex. Suggested items: dishwashing soap, sponges, SOS pads, bleach, mini-broom and dustpan, scrub brush, scouring powder, all purpose cleaner (Spic-N-Span, Pine Sol), rubber gloves, dusting spray, window cleaner, handi-wipes, paper towels, dryer sheets, ziplock bags, laundry detergent, mop/bucket.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are needed to:
- Distribute bags at Masses the weekend before the collection
- Deliver supplies to the Peoples Resource Center on Monday

Volunteer Meetings
There are no specific meetings for this ministry, but volunteers are welcome to attend the monthly CORE meetings for ministry coordinators, ministry volunteers, and interested parishioners on the first Monday evening of each month. See CORE Meetings.
